Digital X-rays give Dr. Olagoke Masha and Dr. Jennifer Ogbuehi detailed information about your oral health so they can identify concerns and create personalized treatment plans.
What Are Digital X-Rays?
Digital radiography uses a sensor instead of traditional film to capture detailed images of teeth, roots and supporting structures. Images appear immediately on a treatment-room monitor, allowing our dentists to examine and explain them without chemical film development.
The process is fast and comfortable and uses significantly less radiation than conventional dental film while still producing the detail needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
How Digital X-Rays Benefit You
Digital X-rays can help us detect and evaluate:
- Tooth decay, including decay between teeth
- Developmental abnormalities and root positioning
- Cysts, abscesses and other unusual growths
- Fractures in teeth or existing fillings
- Infection involving tooth nerves
- Bone loss associated with gum disease
These images also support planning for treatments such as oral surgery, root canal therapy, dental implants and orthodontic care.
